CHRISTIAN GONZALEZ​

Christian González—born August 26, 1993, in San Diego, California to Puerto Rican parents. From a very young age, he showed interest in the arts. His pieces are centered around an intuitive expression, as well as his studies of ancient indigenous spiritual systems. Bold symbols are used as an expression of creative freedom.

 

Now based in Puerto Rico, his work focuses on spiritual quest— through the exploration and remembrance of his Afro-indigenous roots. So far he has had three solo exhibitions to share his work, (Into the Void 2016, Initiation Into the Unknown 2021, & Integration 2023). As well as a curated group exhibition, Futuro Ancestrales in 2023. Christian’s art is strongly guided by intuition. Most times, the direction and stroke of his brush are moved by an inner voice, rather than a logical technique.
